Unfortunately Apple's policies require all iOS apps that browse the web to use the built-in WebKit rendering framework and WebKit JavaScript. 

Aro application development is based on using the most up to date web technology and designed to run on and supported on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox - see our article here about this. This allows to make sure we can offer the highest level of compatibility and operational consistency across both formats. Many of the web technologies implemented in these browsers are just not available in the iPad framework. As such, using Chrome or Firefox apps on an iPad still means that the underpinnings of the apps are based on Apple's webkit rendering technology which means we can't support or recommend that the use of iPads for running Aro.
