This document will show you the process of activating the SMS function, as well as purchasing SMS credits. The SMS module is available to all clients, regardless of your subscription level. Activating the SMS module will allow you to send a single SMS, or an SMS campaign, to the contacts in your database. You will need to pre purchase credits in order to send SMS's.
How to activate the SMS function
Before you can send a SMS from Arosoftware, you will need to verify your Sender ID (the number or name you will be sending from).
Please contact support at support@arosoftware.com to get the direct url to the verification form for your SMS account.
Once your number is verified, Transmit SMS will contact you directly by email to let you know. Once you have received this confirmation please let our support team know so they can complete the setup for you in your Aro account.
How to purchase SMS credits
To purchase SMS credits, return to the Send SMS page:
- Hover your mouse over Marketing in the main menu
- Click on Send SMS
- You will see a message "You do not have any SMS credits remaining. Click here to purchase more"
- Clicking this link will pop up the Purchase SMS Credits wizard
- You will need to select the number of credits you would like to purchase using the drop down menu
- Before finalising your purchase, you will need to tick your acceptance of the charges and click on the Purchase SMS Credits button
- Once completed, the credits will be added to your account instantly and you can start sending SMSs straight away
