Why isn’t my space bar working when typing?

If your space bar isn’t inserting spaces while typing in Arosoftware (for example in listing descriptions, headings, or other text fields), this is typically a temporary browser issue rather than a problem with your keyboard.

This is most commonly been reported by users working in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari


How to fix it

In most cases, one of the following will resolve the issue:

  • Refresh the page
    Click the refresh button in your browser or press F5.
  • Hard refresh the page
    This forces your browser to fully reload the page:
    • Windows: Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R
    • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
  • Clear your browser cache (if the issue persists)
    This removes stored files that may be causing conflicts.

Why does this happen?

The exact cause isn’t clear, but it’s usually related to how the browser loads or caches certain page elements—particularly in rich text editors like those used for marketing descriptions, etc.
