When you upload listings to other websites through Arosoftware, some sites (including REA) may send us back errors they find with the listing. Some of these are cautions, but others may prevent your listing from uploading or updating on the site and will need to be actioned.
How to View the Error
Any errors will show in the Websites tab on the listing. You will also see a banner warning you of the error, as shown in the screenshot below. Clicking on Check Update Status takes you to the Websites tab. Please note, errors may take a few minutes to show after your listing has been updated (this allows time for the listing to be uploaded to the sites and for them to send through a response).
How to Fix the Error
You will be able to view the response sent back through to us next to the problem website in the Websites tab on the listing. This response will indicate what the error is. Some common errors are listed below along with how to resolve them:
Could not connect/Server error/FTP error
This indicates that we are unable to connect to the portal server, and they are currently unable to receive listings. You can try re-pushing the listing again later by clicking on Update, or contact Aro Support if the error persists.
REA: This listing has been published. It is not possible to update the address fields on a listing that is published with an upgrade
Once a listing has been upgraded, we are unable to update the address through the feed. You need to contact REA's support team to update the address so it matches the address in Aro. Once done, re-push the listing in the Websites tab by clicking Update and this error should disappear.
REA: You already have an active listing with the same address
REA has a recent record of this listing and is flagging it as a match. To resolve this, you need to withdraw the listing and re-upload the original listing.
REA: Listing did not include a main image
The most common reason for this error is that the images have been uploaded as floorplans. You can check this by clicking on the Show Image Details checkbox in the Property Photos tab within Edit Listing and checking the "Type" (it will say either Photo or Floorplan). If they are floorplans, you need to remove the photos and re-upload them using the Upload Photo button. If the photos are uploaded correctly and you still get this error, please contact Aro Support.
REA: ‘Price Display’, 10% higher or 10% lower than the display price
REA requires the Display Price and Show Instead of Price fields to be within 10% of each other. Please check the prices entered in your listing.
REA: Access to the requested resource is forbidden
This error typically indicates an issue with your REA account (such as lack of access to upload that property type, account suspension, or another issue). Contact REA's support team for assistance.
Seek Business does not allow certain characters or text formatting in listings. They strip this out once received. This error is generally cautionary and should not prevent your listing from being uploaded.
