You can send SMS messages to contacts directly from the Arosoftware mobile app, either using your phone’s native SMS app or the Arosoftware SMS editor.

How to send an SMS

1. Search for and open the contact.

2. Tap the SMS icon.

3. A pop-up will appear asking where you would like to create the SMS:

   • Phone

   • Arosoftware

SMS options explained

Phone
Selecting Phone will open your device’s default SMS editor with the contact’s number pre-filled. Messages sent this way are managed entirely by your phone.

Arosoftware
Selecting Arosoftware will open the Aro mobile app SMS editor, where you can:

• Select the Sender ID to use.

• Confirm the Contact name.

• Enter your message.

• View available SMS credits.

• See how many credits will be used for the message.

• Once all required options are completed, the Send SMS button will appear in the top-right corner of the screen, click to send.
  

• The SMS is recorded as a communication

SMS credit usage depends on the number of characters in your message. Up to 144 characters typically uses 1 SMS credit. Messages containing emojis or additional characters will use more than one SMS credit.
