Show Instead of Price - Rental Listings Only

This article will guide you through the changes being by REA ( and as of 2025 domain.com.au)  regarding the Show Instead of Price Field on Residential Rental listings.

The Show Instead of Price Field will no longer be recognised by REA/domain.com.au on Residential Rental listings. Other websites may still accept and display Show Instead of Price.

This is due to the below following change made by REA;

"At realestate.com.au we are always looking at ways to improve the property journey for both customers and consumers. To maintain a great experience for property seekers while getting the best result for you, we are tackling one of the most common frustrations of renters - price accuracy on a listing.

From 23rd October 2024 a single price field, Rental Per Week, will be used to power both the rental search price and the advertised rental price on the listing. This change will be applied to all rental listings including existing, new and recently updated listings. The old Price Display field will become obsolete."

Please be aware that if you send rental listings to REA( and as of 2025 domain.com.au)   and are wanting the Price to be a different than the display price, this will not be possible.
