Receipting multiple amounts on 1 trust receipt
This help file will guide you through receipting multiple amounts to one listing.
There are 2 possible scenarios where this might occur:
1. You have received 1 amount to cover more than 1 contract. (e.g. The same buyer has a contract on 2 listings and wants to pay with 1 cheque or eft payment).
2. You have received the deposit in 2 amounts on the same date (e.g. $20,000 received as $10,000 & $10,000 as per your bank statement).
Scenario 1
- When in the Receive Funds screen, enter the full amount received in the Amount field then use the grey plus button to create a new line. You can allocate the amounts against the 2 listings. See example below:
- Your bank reconciliation will show $10,000 and it will also break down the amounts to assist you when reconciling. See below:
Scenario 2
- In some cases a buyer may not be able to pay the full amount in one transaction due to limits in their internet banking. In the Receive Funds screen, enter the full amount received in the Amount field then use the grey plus button to create a new line. In the example below, we received 2 amounts of $10,000.
