How to Register for an Inspection Time

This help article will guide you through how contacts can pre-register themselves for an inspection and how you can do this for them in the software.

On your Aro Website

By default, all Aro sites now have a Register option on their Open Homes pages, and on the listing pages themselves. These options will only show if the Inspection Time has been added against the listing in the software, and the update has been published to your website.

On your website, the contact simply needs to click on the Register button, complete the popup form and submit it. Once this has been done:
1. The Contact is created in your Aro database (or it will link to an existing contact if there is a match).
2.  An Inspection is created which links the contact to the Inspection time.
3. A Lead is created.
The above setup does depend on your website and whether the pages mentioned have been customised. If you cannot see the Register option on your listing or next to your open home and would like this to be added, please contact our Support Team at support@arosoftware.com.

In the Software

Contacts can be registered for an inspection time from the main Inspections page, from the listing, lead or contact.

Inspections page
  1. Hover over the Listings header at the top of the page.
  2. Click on Inspections in the dropdown.
  3. Click on the Inspection date/time.
  4. Click on Add Inspection
  5. Complete the form and Save.

From a Listing
  1. Search for your listing using the quick search magnifying glass in the top right.
  2. Select your listing.
  3. Click on the Inspections tab on the left.
  4. Click on the green Add Inspection button.
  5. Complete the form and Save.

Note: If a contact has registered for an upcoming inspection time - when they attend the inspection you will just need to update the Registered tag on their inspection to Attended (click on the orange Registered Status on their inspection card to access the dropdown).
If the contact uses the check in form at the open home - this will automatically update their existing inspection registration to the attended status.
