Facebook Sharing Error

The Share to Facebook option from either your listing in Arosoftware or the Share This on your website is a Facebook process. Aro passes the listing URL through to Facebook, and they scrape the photos and text from the link. However, Facebook has made a change to their account settings, which is preventing some users from sharing listings to their Facebook account. The error provided is: "User opted out of platform: The action attempted is disallowed, because the user has opted out of Facebook platform"
A Google search of "User opted out of platform" returns many results on how to change the settings in your Facebook account to allow sharing.
The below is a summary of the steps on how to turn this feature back on in your Facebook account settings:

On Desktop

  1. Click on your profile image
  2. Select Settings & Privacy

  1. Select Settings
  2. Click into Apps and Websites on the left
  1. Click Turn On

On Mobile

  1. Click on your profile image in the bottom right
  2. Click Settings & Privacy
  1. Click Settings
  2. Scroll down and click Apps and Websites
  3. Click Edit next to Apps and Websites
  4. Under Apps, websites, and games, click Turn On​

Once complete, you should now be able to share your listings to Facebook again from Aro or your website
