Duplicate contacts

This file will guide you through the steps to adding a contact when their details are already in your database.

Any fields with an asterisk are required fields and must be completed before you will be able to save the form
When adding a new contact in Aro, the software does a search of existing contacts using the contact number and email address that you enter. If a match is found the below warning will appear:
The contact that has been matched will appear beneath the warning, showing you their details.

In this situation there are two options:
  1. This is a correct match - To go to the existing contact, click on their profile beneath the warning.
  2. This is not a duplicate - To add this contact as new, continue entering their details and click on the green save button at the bottom of the screen.
